Retro glamour is found as iris is scattered with a small hint of sweet violets...

Violet Ida is a fragrance that evokes confidence in 1930's Britain, where Ida Arnold, a heroine of Graham Greene's iconic novel Brighton Rock, wears violet in her hair and represents goodness, tenacity and morality. An era of feminine confidence and inspiration. The fragrance opens with a sweet fresh citrus and herbaceous note of bergamot and carrot seed, but the dark heroine is brought instantly to the fore with a deep exclusive presence of Orris butter from Tuscany. Vanilla and amber bring a modernity and smoothness to the rich, evocative scent, evoking a contrast of old and new and polished refinement.

Perfumers story

Inspired by Graham Greene's “Brighton Rock”

Inspired by the Graham Greene novel “Brighton Rock”published in 1938, this scent was always set to be a star. Set in Brighton in the 1930s, the heroine of the tale is Ida Arnold, a singer who wears violets when she performs and can be seen as quite a feminist role model for the time. The heavily orris-based perfume was created to bring modernity to the classic floral notes of Iris and Violet and finds a retro 30's seaside glamour for the 21st century Customer. A great choice for anybody seeking something confident, that leaves a scented memory behind, perhaps for the special occasion. A bold scent for a bold, glamorous wearer. Violet Ida is a great progression on from Peau Santal and Powdered Veil for customers who like powdery scents.
